Session 7: The Secret Base Part III: A new 'A' team

"You don't have to do that but don't give them ammunition. They aren't malicious but they can be a nuisance."
Ceffer replies as Alishari picks up one who is trying to mess with the circle.

Tony goes and pulls out a new deck of cards from one of the drawers.

"If we aren't going to go riding, how about a lightweight game of poker?"

Ember shrugs. "I'm in, as long as nobody eats my cards."

"Don't worry about this set getting damaged, it isn't an antique like the table."

Tony breaks the seal and takes the cards out.

"Bad idea. Gambet always wins"
Ceffer comment wryly.

"Are you going to draw that circle or not?" Ember's ring of fire vanishes as she stands up to clear the lunch dishes.

"I am, I am. I wish that space phone numbers were not epic poems of accomplishments. I guess that is what I get for an S ranked lawyer."
Ceffer replies irritated.

"I already know how to play Poker." Ember glares at the plates one at a time; anything left on them almost instantly turns to gray dust, and she shakes it off into the sink and sets it on the stove.

Tony opens the seal on a second deck and starts shuffling.

"Smith, you want to join? We don't have to use real cash, but I find it makes it a little more exciting that way."

Smith Joins

Having completely destroyed the laptop, a gremlin wanders over to the kitchen stove. "Don't touch that," Ember warns, but the little claws reach up and snatch one of the plates. "I said-!"

"SQUEEEE!!!!!"

The plate goes flying. Ember quickly kicks the gremlin away from the stove and takes a sideways hop to catch the plate. She shakes it at the little monster, who is busy puffing at his hand. "I told you not to touch!"

Tony a poker hand for everyone who is in. He then goes back over to the drawer and pulls out a large set of poker chips.

"Chips or cash?"

"Money?"
G'mbet requests.

"Smith does have a point. Chips it is."

Tony divides them evenly among the players.

The game is 5 Card Draw, and will the princess cut the deck?

He offers the deck to Ember.

"You giving out nicknames now sport?"
Ceffer asks surprised.

"मैं खुश हूँ, लेकिन मैं कोई राजकुमारी हूं। अनुबंधित परिवहन विशेषज्ञ निजी वर्ग।"
Cerina Chips after a second
"She is flattered but wishes to convey that she is no princess. Oh wait were you talking about the Waypoint Rock?"
Ceffer comments.

"I think he was talking to me," Ember finishes washing her hands with a steaming towel. As soon as it stops steaming, she lays it flat on a cold counter top. Then she comes over and cuts the deck. "And for the record, I like the nickname I already have, besides it being oddly appropriate."

"Wait You? I would have gone with angel for the fire abilities and halo."
Ceffer replies finishing the circle as fast as he can.
