Session 9: Ollie T.

Session Recap:
We take a little mini-vacation. While walking down the street, a pickpocket by the name of Ollie T. shows up and steals a set of earrings intended for Ember's mother. We chase him down a block and "Ceffer" handcuffs him. The child displays his ability to sort-of disappear, but it ends up drawing the attention of the crowd. We take him to the police station, and Smith claims custody via his CIA rank. We rent a black SUV and snowmobiles and Ollie takes us to his alien friends. We arrange for their safe transportation to the Tiger Clan.
Searches on Ollie's fingerprints find he is apparently living with a foster family in New Jersey, despite the aliens and Ollie claiming he has been in Alaska for nine years. Smith and Ceffer send word to check on his foster situation.
At our next debriefing, Dr. Wells delivers a Murder, Arson, and Heroism speech on our efforts over a YouTube video detailing our citizens' arrest of Ollie. He arranges for us to drop off Ollie with his temporary foster family in Wells Hills.

Ember takes Ollie and leads the way to his new residence. He'll be living with a local super powered family. "You're going to have to follow a few rules you might not be used to. They want you home by nine, and in bed by ten. You will call the lady 'Mom' and the man by 'Dad'. They already know your story, so there's no need to explain yourself. If in the event they ask you to explain yourself, you must first go sit on your hands on the top or bottom step; whichever's closer. Don't bother trying to tell a lie; the sooner they catch you, the less severe your punishment will be." She pulls a key ring from her purse and uses one to unlock the door. "And above all, if I EVER hear that you've been in my room, I'll see to it that you're apprenticed to a janitor for ten years."
The house seems oddly fireproof. The floor is tile, and a fire extinguisher is visible in every room. Every set of books is book-ended with something pretty and made of glass. Glass ornaments of all sorts and varying degrees of craftsmanship decorate everything. Even the chandeliers look hand made. A man and a woman come out of the kitchen, each holding a large cookie. The man gives his to Ember and the woman puts hers in Ollie's mouth. "The way to a little man's hart is always through his stomach, I always say."

The man then picks up a plate and offers cookies to the rest of the group. "Cookies anyone? They are chocolate chip."
