Session 13: Crazed Georga Town

Everyone in the elevator is surprised and pleased at the formerly unnoticed presence of the science student, except Pearl.

When the elevator arrives at the third floor, Pearl lingers a moment to dismiss the student and reminds him to re-read that email she sent him last night.

Pearl takes the lead again as the tour approaches an areoponics laboratory. The young men and women are lined up and uniformed similar to the team downstairs. "Here we do our plant based research. I believe the current project is a crop that cleans irradiated soil?"

One of the scientists nods. "All plants take nutrients from the soil. This plant here," she gestures to a budding seedling in a pot on the table before them, "extracts about three times as much nutrients as a regular staple crop. The goal is to someday find a way so that it sucks up radiation like it does nutrients, and then get it to deposit and dispose of that radiation as fruit. The completed concept comes from the pickle-weed plant, which removes salt from ocean water and gets rid of it by dropping 'pickles'."

Ceffer follows along carrying the briefcase waiting for trouble.

As the tour heads downstairs, there is a disturbance on the second floor. One of the reporters asks what that sound was, (like an argument that suddenly ended from the sound of crunching metal, followed by more angry shouts, someone starting to cry, and another sound like a large wet splash, lots of hissing, and the whole thing was abruptly silenced.) Pearl dismisses it nervously as someone playing a video game in the break room.

Ceffer text Pearl.
*Lying is foolish. BTW you have a straggler.*
Then sneaks up on the staggler.

Pearl's phone is in her apartment because it's not classy to lead an indoor tour wile wearing a coat, purse, or bulges in your pockets. However, there is a small bauble in her pocket that vibrates to let her know she has a text. Whatever it was, it can't be more important than ensuring a good future for Wells Hills.

She leads the tour down to the basement. "This is what I think you'll be most interested in. Digitization technology." She opens the doors to the lab.

Ceffer's Helmet decloaks ask he suddenly coughs behind the rouge reporter.
"For your safety, please rejoin the  rest of the tour group. Or if you like we can dispense with the pleasantries."
Ceffer comments in a mechanical voice while Alishari type out a text to security.
*I have a vampire stop help? stop

Pearl's face drains of emotion for a moment; fortunately she had turned everyone's attention to the digitization crew. She swallows and tries to recall the proper procedure for such a circumstance.

Keep the visiting parties as far away from reasonable danger as possible. If unavoidable, use powers to protect guests.

At the bakery, Ember's phone rings. She answers it and listens, verbally acknowledges, and hangs up. "I've got to go. Can you handle the cake decorating by yourself?"

She nods. "Who was that?"

Ember hesitates as she strides towards the door. "Security."

"Oh. ... Oh!"

Only after the door slams shut behind her does Ember realize she forgot her coat. Whatever. It was only for cosmetic purposes anyway.

"Take Helmet"
Ceffer taps his helmet. His helmet has symbols appear briefly and the helmet "warps" out in the same manner that the elementals appeared. (In reality Alishari cloaked the helmet so that he would be less scary to the tourists)
"Sorry about that Pearl. I did not expect a vampire to infiltrate the reporters. They are getting more bold."
Bowing his head.

Pearl is silent for a while, letting the reporters vent their excitement on Ceffer.

"I have from a very reliable source that I don't have any, other than social networking and basic ninjitsu training. That guy was a vampire that passed himself as a reporter and where he came is a very long story. I have some friends that can warp items from place to place."
Ceffer answers almost as fast they can ask their questions.

Pearl does not consider her power to be 'awesome', so she answers the questions as fast and simple as she can. "No, no, yes."

Ceffer laughs at Pearls answer.
"Lets go upstairs to one of the conference rooms where we can discuss and let the lab techs clean up this mess. By the way how is cake coming."

Pearl goes up stairs.

Ember stretches and tiny flames pop out her finger tips. "Ooh! I'm cold! Cake is coming along great, but I seem to have forgot my coat." She shivers for a moment and the entire room warms up.

Ceffer "naps" in the corner.

Pearl elbows Ceffer to make him stop 'napping'.
