Session 12: City of Dreams

She turns around to see who called, then visibly sighs and starts hiking back.

Seeing her mood he pulls out a brightly colored lolipop and hands to her.
"Ms. Aelurus I jave good news, bad news, and mediocre news. Which order do you want to hear it?"

Tony and Dr. Wells come outside.

Pearl ignores the lollipop.

"This had better be more important than getting any sleep tonight."

"...Fine! Bad news we can't stop the Senator, mediocre news unless he has a Official reporters we can block them, and good news You have an appointment with a masseuse. You need to loosen up. You also need to learn to deal with high stress situations, Ms. Aelurus"

Ceffer replies.
"Take me for example I start snarking and lipping off when I get stressed. When you start snapping it causes increased stress in those around you. Get some sleep and get a massage."
Ceffer Turns to Dr. Wells.
"Please tell her she can come in late tomorrow."

"That's what I'm trying to do!" Pearl says to him before he turns away.

When it appears that Ceffer has nothing further to tell her, Pearl resumes her original activity.

"Yes. And we need to decide how we are going to deal with him. He is in-charge of part of our budget. There are three ways we can deal with it. Depending on how things go we can bluff him and say, look at what we accomplished while we are understaffed and underfunded. We can try to appeal to his better nature. We can be completely forth right with him and say, that we don't think that those were aliens and we are building civilian bunkers in unreal space. Fine digitization. Or we can be completely on unethical and put tons of mental whammies on him and make our puppet in which case I walk. I believe that in any case we should explain Philip Argo to him. I wish I could have discussed this with Pearl but she is in no condition write now and does not trust me. Which is my fault."
Ceffer explains then switches topics.
"Did you get my email about modification to my suit?"

Ceffer wipes a tear from his eye, nearly doubling over from laughter.
"Oh, you are serious. Dr. Wells less than 4 mounts ago we drove off an organized robot invasion. If he starts rushing to 'Burn the Witches' he is going to be in serious trouble. nothing short of a full scale invasion would work. The fact that Supers have one of the lowest crime rates per capita works in our favor. Another fact most of these supers don't really know how to fight properly. At least on paper. And many of them are very useful. If he wants to 'Burn the Witches' I will start lobbying myself and run against him in the election. The suit also gives someone something to work that he can see as a distraction from all the scary supers."

"Agreed! By the way you should interview my former comrades who worked with me in the army, when you get a chance. It will give you a better idea of what I am capable of then semi-accurate reports."
Ceffer with a salute.
"Well Good night!"
Ceffer puts on a pair of strap on skates heads to his room.
