Session 3: What do you expect from geeky programmers? Empty Session 3: What do you expect from geeky programmers?

Post by Shadow8472 Sun May 29, 2016 6:36 pm

Session Recap:

We finished our mean and had some questions about Ceffer's "Friend" who can appearently censor his speech, is faceless, and sees and hears what he does. The next day, we take a trip to the digitization lab and have an underwhelmingly easy rescue operation. Ceffer spends a little while longer helping the lab technicians fine tune their ideas for level design.

+10 points for everybody

The group is back in their favorite meeting room. Dr. Wells begins the session.

"My apologies for the rushed job on the training session. Nonetheless, you derived a new technique.

"Besides the obvious, what went well and what was a flop?"

"I'll ask my sister, she might be able to design up something nice for you. I think we can all agree that whatever she comes up with will probably look better than... that?" Pearl makes some odd gestures referring to Tony's suit disaster. "I mean, let's be honest; you were the spitting image of 'The Crash'."

The enemies weren't durable at all. Unless their hiring a bunch of glass-jawed fools as body-guards, this wasn't very helpful. Nice job on the body-armor, very comfortable.

The Enemies shouldn't have vanished when taken down. It means that there equipment is unusable and that we don't have to worry about the bodies. Whether or not they are living that is something we will have to worry about especially if we are planning on going getting the kids with out the enemy knowing and sending more people to stop us.

Dr. Wells is taking notes for future sessions.

"Many supers find a professional quality super suit can greatly augment their performance. I would encourage each of you to come up with a list of things you would like in a suit."

"My outfit caught fire when I tried to pull off a crazy stunt. I'd like to gain control over when I flame up, maybe some sort of little drag fins on the suit?"

Pearl looks at Tony in slight horror at the thought of him controlling when and how he lights himself on fire. "You're crazy." She turns to Dr. Wells. "No offence, but every time I talk to the boys up in the super suits department, they always want to give me some sort of collar, and I hate wearing a collar. Having to wear one at the hospital was humiliating."

"I will make sure to tell them collars are out of the question."

He jostles down a few more notes, then looks up again.

"You know, they just got through designing a suit for a werewolf. It feeds off his power to change along with him and can provide him with protection in either form. They should be able to adapt a suit for you."

He looks from Pearl to the next person to speak.

I find my outfit to work best for me I would prefer not to have to change outfits. It provides me quite a bit of protection against many things including light.

Dr. Wells gets up and grabs a drink from the water cooler to emphasize his point.

"Worse, actually. You stand out at night like the one white light in a dark room. You're a human sized bonfire that moves. I can see you on the Wells Museum Roof after dark from across the far side of town. I bet in all your time as a security guard, you've never been bothered by a werewolf or the like, or at least you had to deal with them like they always knew where you were."

*sigh*"I was in special ops for years I am well aware of the effects of my condition. The only difference between me and a normal human is that I am about 3°F warmer than other people that is slightly different than a camp-fire. There are several animals that have higher body temps. You are blowing it out of proportion. When I am suited up you can barely tell."
Ceffer is slightly amused and annoyed at their comments.

"The thing is, even your extremities glow. I always know it's you coming and not someone else because not only are they slightly cooler, but often their hands, noses, and ears look darker. Not even the furry animals have fingers and noses almost the same temperature as their core."

Pearl thinks for a moment. "Of course, I can only tell that much when it's really dark. During the day or in a well lit room like this, you just look slightly paler than everyone else unless you stand in front of something black."
